I have had three basset hounds over the years: Tosca, Porthos, and Daisy. Daisy (brown and white face) was a runty rescue basset hound from Maine. Tosca (brown face) was a Bulgarian basset hound that I got when I was doing my dissertation research in Bulgaria back in 1999. Porthos, not pictured here, was a basset puppy I brought home from Brazil in 2004, but who was a casualty of my divorce in 2005 (he was given away to a family in Berlin). After the death of Daisy in November 2021, I am currently without a basset hound.
